aha moment

We're given gifts that make our dreams and purpose obvious to us, but the moment we use those gifts or the way they make us feel selfishly, our dreams will be just out of reach. Surrender, allow God's and the Universal plan for our lives to flow and we will be blessed with the joy and abundance beyond our dreams. Our lives, our purpose will matter. We will contribute to the greater good and we will have peace and true happiness in our lives.

2011 is gonna rock! :0)

So far this year has turned into quite a wonderful one!  I've begun singing with two regional opera companies.  High Desert Opera and Loveland Opera Theatre!  It feels SO good to be singing again.  And . . . I'm singing better than ever.  This month I'll be singing in the Denver Lyric Opera Guild competition.  I hope I rock it out! :0)    If I just open up and let myself sing like my body and soul know how to do, I'm sure I will sing my best!

I had the honor of participating in a masterclass sponsored by the Denver Lyric Opera Guild and given by Martile Rowland!  What a woman!  What a teacher!  It felt really good to be understood vocally again.  It was also nice to hear that my 2 years of self-teaching has not ruined all the excellent technique I learned from the one and only Susan Witt-Butler!  In fact, it seems my technique is in very nice shape!  I've really been missing my teacher Susan.  Lessons with both amazing ladies are in the works!  Because I will get back to California this year to see my family and friends there, audition, and meet with Susan for lessons.  Oh yes, I will!

Speaking of auditions, I had a wonderful one last Sunday.  Once again I was able to open up and just sing it!  Incredibly I've been very sick.  I prayed to God, Source, Universe that I would get my voice back just for the audition.  It came back alright.  I seriously think my last high C in Una voce poco fa shook the room!  You tell me! The audition wasn't perfection, but that isn't what matters.  It was fun, it felt great, and my voice made some sounds that rocked the house! :0)  That's what it's all about.  Feeding my soul, right?  I hope I get the part!  It would feel amazing to be back in rehearsals with theater folk!  There's nothing like it.

And, of course, like everyone I am so excited for Spring and Summer!  The beautiful sun has been out more than not and filling everyone with happy rays!  It feels good.  The doggies and I make a point to soak up the sunshine every day.  That is, with plenty of sunblock on yours truly. ;0)
